The Maze

Of misconception

In a maze of misconceptions,
a false notion or fallacy,
When they’re all joined together,
For all the world to see.

And as they pass through a looking glass,
And from the place I reside,
I see fear and fantasy,
Yet there’s always another side.

When trust is lost, what is the cost?
the tart taste of isolation,
Life is a trial, and with a smile,
Words heard can affect the nation.

There are more myths than snowdrops,
And often, they’re headline news,
Let’s take a walk in the morning rain,
And wash away the blues.

People believe the propaganda,
lit up on their TV screens,
Is it the goose or the gander?
Nothing is quite like it seems.

Polish the brass. These times will pass,
Some courage will see us right,
And we’ll move out of the shadows,
And alight out of the night.

Myths and imagination,
can drive one up the wall,
Let’s balance our talents and realise that
There’s no need to stagger or fall.

The breath of the breeze up high in the trees,
The views that are new to my senses,
Good friends that bend and family,
All are seen through different lenses.
