Your Tapestry

Of intricacies.

Strength suffused to the sanctity
How far can it go
Muscles rippling in the water
Who’ll be the first to know?

That latitude is a platitude
Reality is flawed
Can we connect or what the heck
Are signals real or fraud?

My arms stretched out to you it seems
I crawled across the floor
Some said it was a swimming stroke
The destination’s door.

Streams of lactic acid
Form before the fall
I could have asked for steroids
But that my friends not all.

What I want is what I get
Did I ask for too much
Or sent into the wilderness
No material to touch.

Black is white and brown is beige
Where do the colours run
Your tapestry of intricacies
Dear, sometimes is no fun.

I have the strength to ignore
The facts and opt for fiction
Is the writing on the wall
An enciphered prediction.

I’ll never know where my strength went
I saw a splashdown south
Was that you are swimming away, my dear
Out of the river’s mouth.
