One year ago, Poetri was born with the idea of making easier the way of today’s programming. In early phases, we thought an IDE which integrates the most common services used by a programmer, like Twitter, Git, Spotify, Trello or Slack; would be a great idea.

First idea

After starting with the development, we realized we would like to do more than devs tools, a FaaS workspace in which any person with an idea — no matter if person were a developer or entrepreneur — could bring it to reality without having a high budget.

We’re on 21st century, which means that today’s technology is really different than 90’s. For a long time, we’ve been developing the same login integration with Facebook or the same user’s CRUD. Due to this, in Poetri we’ve created a CLI which allows any programmer to use FaaS to deploy its functions, and offer it in our marketplace. Furthermore, to use a function none is required besides adding the URL in the project and paying monthly a very small fee based on the use of the function.

Poetri CLI

We believe in ideas power, although we believe more in the idea that all the projects must become true and the effort must have the focus on given added value in the customers.

Today we release the first Poetri’s version 0.1.2. Consequently we’re releasing Poetri Hack, the first online Poetri’s Hackaton with great prizes to the most creative programmer which uses our CLI and marketplace, rewarding it with a Platzi anual membership.
