Hummingbird and the Eagle

The hummingbird stops mid-flight

She pauses to decide to go left or right

I am enchanted by her movements

Her long beak and small form

She stops in front of the flower

Then moves rapidly to drink the nectar

Then I see an Eagle glide by

Headed for its destination

Unwavering, it glides with its imposing wings

The white head and yellow beak so distinct

Both are captivating

Delightful Hummingbird and Majestic Eagle

Remind me how each one of us are so unique

So perfect in our own way; like snowflakes
