A Simple Conversation

It’s warmer together
The heart beats a deeper rhythm
It’s closer together
Bodies locked in knowing
Knowing that this will end
So they move slowly
Gratefully as one
Hearts opening in silence
Just a look can say all that’s needed
Deeply, sweetly, discreetly
A simple conversation
That takes a lifetime
