A poem on our fifth wedding anniversary

So far this five years
have brought us, each chime
revealing its hand at every tick
memories of our separation in time.

So far this distance
has multiplied over geography, each trace
spanning across land, sea and air,
charting our uncontainable space.

So far this strange life
has ebbed and flowed, each breath
filling our lungs with awe,
trusting us in faith.

So far this shining treasure
has required our polishing, each trove
generating its value,
incomparable to our love.

So far this regard
has nourished us unconditionally, each embrace
the best that it is for each moment,
perfect(ed) is our grace.
