i’m solving a hard problem.
the problem is how to -
why we -
how i -
ah

the problem is how to capture the gray purples
when the bright exotic red is sinking down next to it,
attracting everything as it goes,
pulling the whole damn thing down like a canvas.

how to take it all in
before it’s gone -
you, me,

everything is going away -
the blacks and the blues,
the whole spectrum is leaving us.

i want all the colors.
and then i want to go away
and lie on a thin snow pea lily pad
on a salty dead sea

up at the sky
and see it,
fully
