A poem
The world spins on its axis of sorrow,
headlines screaming disaster and despair.
But here, in this moment,
a robin builds her nest,
a child learns to write her name,
someone falls in love for the first time.
Hope persists, stubborn as weeds
pushing through concrete.
In the face of chaos,
small kindnesses bloom,
a stranger’s smile,
a hand extended in friendship.
We are more than our worst moments,
more than the sum of our fears.
In the quiet spaces between heartbeats,
possibility takes root and grows.
