The soloist didn’t seem to matter
that the orchestra musicians did not
get the position to be there a lot,
as a soloist, and climb the latter.
All he could do was laughing, be better,
with his ego, or fill in the big dot,
and eventually, they tight the knot,
to tell people they agreed, by letter.

This is my first attempt in writing an Italian Octave.

An Italian Octave is Italian poetry form. It looks like a Haiku (these are the smaller openings of a longer Renga), but the Italian Octave is the first eight lines of the 14-line Petrarchan Sonnet (Italian Sonnet), followed by the six-line sestet (last six lines of a Sonnet).

Rules:
- This poetry form has an eight-line stanza or poem.
- An Iambic pentameter — or 10 syllables per line.
- Rhyme scheme of abbaabba.
- You may choose the topic of the poem.

Prompt:

Write about your favourite hobby or tasks in your job, and write an Italian Octave.
