Creation’s parched womb
‘There he is!’ And ‘there he is!’
Forerunner wading
Winnowing fork — fire!
Sundered head and trumpets sound
Cleanse his threshing floor
He draws near to us?
Fruit to bear, no fleeing snake
Brooding dove’s bright wings
