Rural Backdrop Poem

There’s gonna be a gritty, rural backdrop
and gasoline scent all over.
I don’t want any phone calls.
There are a few plumbers available at midnight;
there are tons of fast foods available at midnight.

There’s gonna be a two-tone tundra
and no smell for a thousand miles.
We could never pass for locals,
and even exotic chimps can blend in eventually.

There are no Oscars to be had,
but you can mash up one from aluminum foil, painted.
I’ll do whatever is in your rider:
M&Ms and all the weird plants you could want.
