Your crusts and my troughs
entwine into a never-ending wave.
We remain home even though
the sky is not beyond us
and even though it takes nothing
to project ourselves beyond the zenith.
We cuddle close to each other's
tangibility and its certainty
rather than pick speckles of snow
from each other's hair...
A wave cuts through the normal
as we try to cling to a plane,
throwing us down a meandering
ride through the estuaries.
There's an uncanny comfort
in your eyes, as your lips claim
my poems as we go back to
our forgotten tomorrows...
You tear apart my heart with eyes
that look away from me!
