They gossip
label
and make fun of me
as anything but normal
they see my quirks
as something wrong.

Hissing follows me
even in my dreams
cruel and biting
names so cold and sharp
that defines
my eccentric character.

But they will never know
the strength that lies
within this so-called

weirdo.

For despite their jeers
I still have hope
as I pen my song
misfit
though unfinished
I still dance to its rhythm.

I possess
a spirit
wild

liberated
untamed
so I will remain
separated
where I belong
while they conform
to common fates.
