Each day a poetry prompt is posted at Poetry Playground. The prompt is a word/phrase to include, a theme, a form or an image. Generally, prompts will be simple as poetry takes time and a prompt is meant to be a help, not a puzzle to solve.

Submit your Daily Poetry Prompt responses in the usual way.

Ensure you include the tags ‘Daily Poetry’ and ‘Poetry Playground’.

Include the prompt number in your subtitle.

Daily Poetry Prompt #63

Today is World Wildlife Day. The Daily Poetry Prompt for today is a phrase to include:

the clock cannot rewind

Write a poem including the phrase ‘the clock cannot rewind’.

The Daily Poetry Prompts are optional — there is no need to do all of them. You can pick and choose your favourites, do some, or do none. You can also submit them at any time. Poetry Playground is always open to all poetry submissions.

This is an experiment, so please bear with us to see how it goes, and feel free to offer feedback through private messages or responses.
