Poetry Playground Writing Prompt #31
One to Ten
Thank you for your patience this week. I have been slower than usual publishing poems.
Now, it is time for another Poetry Playground Prompt! Last week’s prompt was well-received and some deeply personal and thoughtful poems were written. This week the prompt is a form one of our writers has developed — and they feature as Poet of the Week too!
K.B. Silver has developed the decible form of poetry, an example and explanation of which can be found here:
The explanation is as follows:
The Decible poem is composed of ten stanzas in total.
The first stanza begins with one line, increasing one line at a time, ending at ten lines.
Each stanza increases the number of syllables per line, from one syllable in the first line until you compose the tenth stanza with ten lines of ten syllables each.
