In this world of contrasts,
Where shadows dance with light,
The poor and rich exist,
A paradox in sight.

The poor man toils and struggles,
For every bite he eats,
While the rich man feasts on banquets,
And sleeps on silken sheets.

The poor man’s home is humble,
A shack or tent at best,
While the rich man’s mansion sprawls,
With rooms surpassing rest.

The poor man’s clothes are worn,
His shoes have holes to mend,
While the rich man’s wardrobe overflows,
With clothes that never end.

The poor man’s children hunger,
Their eyes filled with despair,
While the rich man’s children play,
With toys beyond compare.

The poor man dreams of better days,
Of hope and victory,
While the rich man fears his downfall,
And guards his wealth with glee.
