Poem: Ordinary Day

Today
is not a great day.

No departure,
no return.

No celebration.
Neither eve
nor tomorrow.

A day without new encounters.

Nothing new, sad,
nothing crazy.

Neither full nor empty,
hollow.

Not hollow like
the hollow of a hand

or a valley.

Hollow with nothing around,
hollow within a hollow.

It’s a day that belongs to others,
it’s a good day nonetheless.
