Their stare says to me what they're thinking,
For I'm nothing but a peasant in their sights.
I'm being judged because of my social ranking,
For they believe that I will not ascend on the social ladder to new heights.

The hierarchy of social stratification is still prevalent as they were in days of old,
Once their value is based on their materialistic possessions, such a system will remain.
This harsh reality was that aristocrats have such power, I fold,
For my power to change, my peasantry is limited. Such a reality is greatly distain.

Why are some born into nobility and others born to serve them?
Is there a script that a screenwriter is writing that we’re taking part in?
For in this grand cosmic theater, I detest my role as a peasant, such a role I greatly condemn.
Thus, I will break my curse and ascend the social ladder. With such a reality, I’ll always have a grin.

For Napoleon rose from a lowly Corsican existence to the emperor of France,
Thus, I see no reason why I can’t raise the ranks as well.
Such change will be imperceptible. Thus, the aristocrats with their mighty judgment wouldn’t notice this at first glance,
But as time passes, however, they’ll notice that I’m a star when I’m out of my shell.

The social position that I was born into was beyond me,
But I refuse to remain there throughout the course of my life.
For my worth I’m aware of, and that’s my glee,
Thus, I’ll only focus on myself, and with the aristocrats, avoid strife
