Cursed Gold: the truth (part two)
“Life is full of possibilities”
The darkness is slowly fading and it’s time for dawn. The four are exhausted and come home walking like they just woke up from a grave.
After thinking and discussing all night they didn’t find a satisfactory solution.
The voice of Aries haunts them. The seven gold pots, a talking peepal tree and a soul which can be brought to life.
The next morning Corpia scours their old house. She is looking to see if there is something she didn’t notice earlier.
She remembers the words of Aries, “There is no way you can obtain only gold, first you have to bring me back to life.”
Everybody fears that they might be asked to sacrifice. Aries gave them a hint saying, “I think you should seek assistance from the old priest who lived near the old house.”
Corpia is someone who always wondered about her ancestors. She liked to visit these abandoned graves. No wonder she found the map which would shower her treasure. But who knows if it will bring evil along with pleasure.
She went to the old priest to ask the way. She said, “Is it true that we can bring the dead back from the grave?”
An old guy who could barely open his eyes and walk or talk properly appeared, and she sighed due to dissatisfaction.
The old priest replied, “The time has come, finally her predecessors are here.”
Gemi, the elder child, never believed in hidden treasures, ghosts and many superstitions. So he wants to take everybody away from this disaster.
The moment he heard the spirit he asked everyone to drop the idea of treasure-hunting and just live the normal life.
Deep inside the heart, all human beings have greed and lust they are automatically driven to it.
Most people find Taurie weird and intimidating. She is protective of her close ones. She didn’t speak a word or enquire to the spirit. She was carefully listening to her voice.
She did not show her interest in the treasure nor deny its existence.
Leo is a fun-loving and social butterfly person. He tries to reveal his confidence but his cousins understand he is a fragile crybaby who needs to be pampered all the time. Everyone enjoys his stupidity except Corpia.
All four were present in the priest’s house.
Corpia asked, “Old Priest, do you know or not?”
Gemi replied, “Patience.”
She said in a calm voice, “Did you hear Aries? Did you see her?”
Priest laughed and said, “You are unrest, I like it, I like it.”
Leo whispered in Corpia’s ear, “I think he is checking your tolerance, may god save him from your wrath.”
Corpia yelled, “Shut up!”
Priest halted the fun by saying, “Aries is cunning let me tell you my side of the story, she didn’t enter the grave to save her father.”
Leo was shocked and said, “What? No not possible.”
Corpia showed the diary to the priest.
The priest continued, “She thought it would be easy to take the money, but it captured her soul.”
Taurie asked, “What are you trying to say?”
Priest said, “Okay, I predicted that the four ancestors of Aries would be named after the zodiac signs and that’s the time for her freedom.”
Gemi asked, “How it’s related? I can’t understand.”
Priest further explained, “When the ritual begins with 4 special ancestors holding 4 gems taken by her father she can come to life along with treasure.”
Corpia asked, “Then, when should we start the ritual?”
