Darling Don’t Worry!
A poem for those who have lost someone this year
There will be one less chair to place around the table on Christmas day,
With a heavy heart I will think of all I didn’t get to say,
Thinking of you every now and then,
Shedding tears and telling stories of ‘Remember when?’
Holding onto memories to stop your face from fading,
To see you again would mean the world, but what would I be gaining,
You have passed away,
Your loving soul was never here to stay,
Slipped through the thin veil of life to death,
You left the earthly plane when you took your last breath,
From the spirit world I can hear you say —
“Darling don’t worry this is not the end
It was my time, my time to transcend.
I can still hear you when you call out my name,
You know you can talk to me, even though it doesn’t feel the same,
For I am right beside you each and every day,
To love you, guide you, and light your way.
I’ll send you robins, white feathers, or a sign only you’ll know,
To let you know I’ll be with you wherever you may go,
So have a good old cry or weep buckets of tears for me,
But then get back to life itself, it’s precious…
