A sunbeam touched my skin today and

I am a woman reborn

Depression? Who is she?

Anxiety? Did not leave a forwarding address

The bags under my eyes have packed their bags and flown away

I am radiantly kissed by the sun

A siren striding out of the sea to ravish her lover

I am a starfish basking in the hot, hot sand, pointed and proud

I am Elsa when she let it go!

Today I will sing showtunes

I will giggle, smile my crooked smile

I will breath spring air deep into my bursting lungs

I will exhale

I will pause

I will listen

Because a sunbeam touched my skin today

And I remembered that summer is coming

Thank you for reading!
