Hey You

“In the stillness of your broken world, I reached for you, but your silence clung tighter than the shadows, swallowing the light we once shared.”

100 words flash fiction based on Pink Floyd’s — Hey You

Roger Water: The Wall (2016)

Within the towering walls of isolation, in the embrace of a home forgotten by time, your spirit endured as smiles faded under the weight of solitude. I witnessed your bitter struggle to bury the light that once fueled your fight until you succumbed to the darkness of despair. The echoes of your exposed weakness reverberated through the cold hallways as you sat beside the silent phone, yearning for a voice to break through the suffocating silence.

Can you hear me?

Will you respond?

One day, I reached out to you, but the walls were too high, as you may see. They trapped you in a labyrinth of despair until decay consumed your thoughts. Yet, I hold onto hope that one day, amid the shards of shattered glass and the prayers whispered into the silence, you will break free from your chains.
