Poem: A Symphony Of Contradiction
When life becomes a tapestry of impossibilities, you are left singing the symphony of contradictions.
Your almond slits,
A symphony of vivid imagery
My splintered heart,
A symphony of tragedy
Your carefree smiles,
A symphony of sonatas
My brooding glare,
A symphony of caveats
Your bouncing mane,
A symphony of concealed arcane
My greedy eyes,
A symphony of soaking slits
Your empathetic caresses,
A symphony of amiable traits
My broken voice,
A symphony of betrayals
Your golden hue,
A symphony of angelic peculiarities
My shivering fingers,
A symphony of broken tapestry
Your enlivening emotions,
A symphony of viability
My blurred vision,
A symphony of impossibility…
Last week, when I was working on my novel and was lost in an alternate universe, I composed this poem. It is a vivid demonstration of the impossibility of life, felt from the narrative of the characters who are forced to endure heartache in the name of survival.
It might be just a few verses but these lines are much more than a poem, as it is with each one of my poems I have listed here.
Did these couplets resonate with you, too?
Please let me know!
