Poem — Journey to Being
A Quest for Divine Essence
In the dance of desires, the Ego plays its part,
A yearning veiled, seeking God’s eternal heart.
Within the depths, unconscious, it resides,
In thoughts and forms, its essence hides.
Chasing divinity in the world’s fleeting gaze,
The Ego wanders through life’s intricate maze.
Yet, the Source it seeks is not afar,
For within, a journey to Being’s sacred star.
Turn inward, says the whisper of the wise,
Discover the beloved, where true essence lies.
Merge with the Being, let the ego subside,
In the stillness of the mind, God does confide.
Not a person bound to body and thought,
You’re the awareness, in time briefly caught.
No need to strive, to cultivate or attain,
Simply release what distracts, break the chain.
Awareness, pure and pristine, awaits,
As you let go of illusions, open the gates.
In the realm of Being, the mind finds repose,
And there, in silence, the divine essence flows.
