As the day comes to an end and the quietness of night starts to whisper
And the breeze sweeps through north in solitude.
Softly rustling the leaves left behind in autumn
Bringing with it the scent of distant palms and cedar.
I will remember,
Swaying branches in harmony together.

I can feel their longing to exist
I can see their dreams as one of my own.
Their shadows lengthen in the stillness of dawn.
And when dusk closes in,
The desperation is evermore.
In a long sleep to forget this life and never wake, they exist.
To find a place inside the forest and drift away with the winds,
to the ends of the world, they exist,
And, so I exist.
