Spoken Word: “signs in the dead of night”
Another unrecorded rescue
Sometime during the last week I was reminded of the hauntingly beautiful Godspeed You! Black Emperor album F♯ A♯ ∞. As I listened to it again for the first time in many years, I thought about a poem that I wrote in 2011 / 2012 that was heavily inspired by the album, that I called “signs in the dead of night”:
This is another poem that I performed on stage, but sadly didn’t get a recording from. With the generative AI available, along with easy-to-use video editing software, I’m grateful to have been able to record and produce a video with a level of quality that I feel satisfied with!
