The Moonset

The moon sets the same as the sun

The moon sets in the hearts of men,
At a set time and space.
It rises like the sun,
And bows down to earth’s core.
An illumination,
until the wee hours of the morning.
The sun has already risen,
The moonsets.
In warm application,
In vast appreciation,
The moon’s splendor.
God’s underrated lunar creation.
Man walked it once,
And planted a flag outside.
Do we care if the moonsets?
same as the sun,
To less fanfare
And sparkled colors.
The craters
Of gray matter
Sat at 9:35 am today.
Did you care,
Because you didn’t see it?
Or notice.
The moon belongs to the night
After all.

Thank you for reading.
