This Tiger at Night

Speaks to me through wildflowers,
answers calls that have more to do
with death wishes than desires.
I desire, to be left alone and come along.
Depending on who’s asking. Free me now,
blue-eyed tiger god, from the lack of perdition.
See me to whatever devil I need to sell my soul to.
Worrying skeptical mind, I despise who I am,
but now I see you…now I see you.
Road trip to the end of a circular world,
prayers in contention, knees scraped by acts of love.
Send me to hell or heaven, just don’t leave me here
tonight.
