Those Carefree Days

I reminisce those days.

Seasons were carefree,

Sunlight was pristine and golden,

Winds were musical.

Sky was filled with contentment,

Earth was cultivated with love.

I live in the present day.

Weather seems burdened and winds are aimless,

Sun continues to beat down.

The rocky road becomes ruthless,

Constantly bruising my soul.

Relationships used to be filled with warmth,

Blossoming marvellously.

Life used to be an open book,

Hope watermarked on every page.

Everything was so familiar,

With scarcity of nothing.

There isn’t anyone with me now,

It's only me, solitary.
