With inquisitive eyes wide open,
I look at all the uncertainties that is the future.

Other times I reflect with admiration,
A past and times that have transpired.

Then my mind flutters back to discerning,
Images within the lines on this palm.

I reminisce,
Ever diminishing jubilant moments,
Ever expanding downhearted instants.
Life’s neglect piercing through,
Life’s surprising tests right on cue.

Those good old days,
Gentle and soothing.
Those pastimes of childhood,
Tantrums and giggling.

Life used to be blissful,
Filled with curiosity.
Life used to be simple,
Affectionate and kind.
