Twelve ideas swirling
Eleven tangents stirring
Ten starts and stops
Nine minutes staring
Eight cups of coffee
Seven scribbled notes
Six discarded quotes
Five voices swearing
Four toilet breaks
Three minutes typing
Two moments of hesitation
And a 12-line poem to show for it all
Calling this ‘Stupid Poetry’ seems a wee bit harsh but it makes for a great pub name.
