conflict of interest

Should meditation be passive or dynamic?

Don’t judgments bring a moral principle to light?

Embrace the winner of the opposite perspective,

Deriving truth from arguments is quite alright.

.

Dualities must be created to confuse us?

Confusion doesn’t aid construction of debate,

Like rooster dominating female chickens,

Misuse of power can lead to fear and hate.

.

Conflicting interest between the wife and male nature,

His way to overlook details he doesn’t need,

The logic sets us up for miserable failure,

Justifications reign supreme; beliefs mislead.

.

Should vegetarians fair-try a meat sample?

Beef livers cooked for iron in the blood,

Too many pesticides on spinach; strawberries and apples,

And so the conflict must go on for this is life.

.

When was the time you won an argument correctly?

Without turning those who lost to mortal enemies,

Conceding to defeat might be humiliating,

Do you choose pride instead of lasting peace?

.

Why is the notion of respect confused for duty?

With brainless things like how-are-you, oh; I am good,

Insensitive to many things but mostly feelings,

Our sacrifice for social norms in hollow wood.

.

Let’s bring the devil’s advocate for genuine discussion,

But not right now because your feelings are at stake?

What is your view on scrutiny & self-reflection?

How can discarding authenticity not be considered fake?

I seek meaning in writing: old, new print, poetry, allegories, tales, absurdism, satire, existentialism, and anything well-crafted. Dystopian fic is alluring!
