What if we had forever,
if time was of no consequence.
Like vampires we would bond in blood
and eternity.
Our timeless existence would
harbour infidelity or faith.
Through it all the bond would harden
like tile adhesive.
Our logs lashed together would
defeat the inevitable whitewater
between tranquil, calm ponds
again and again.
