Waves of anxiety washing over me as he nears,
my fear beating in my chest,
heart beats matching his steps,
holding my breath, time ticking away.

Eyes locking, hands intertwined,
breaths slowing, barely standing,
closer, closer, barely breathing,
and then; lips touching; electric.
