September 17’: A Haiku

Sharpest chill, now numb.
A furtive glance so wistful.
The coolness settles.

Wizened, not unscathed,
this heart once torn asunder.
Seed's death now blossoms.

Forgiving old paths,
blackened trail, moonlit shadow,
forward child, we move.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
