Touch Me Like a Tango

In Response to Poetry Under Cover Prompt #2 — Touch

Touch me like a tango,
Slow and sexy
On the streets of
Old Buenos Aries —
Touch me like a tango,
Heat mounting,
Passion cascading
On the streets of
Old Buenos Aires —
Touch me like a tango,
Sad and tortured,
With languid longing
On the streets of
Old Buenos Aires —
Touch me like a tango,
Lose me in the music,
The mournful melody of
The bandoneón
On the streets of
Old Buenos Aires

Make me forget it is now
And remember how
It was then —
On the streets of
Old Buenos Aires —
When the music was free,
Dancing desirous,
Crowds gathering and gazing
As we touched in a tango
On the streets of
Old Buenos Aires.
