it is said
“boys will be boys”
they never grow-up
a kind of unruly
i know this too well
but beneath their skin
however thick it may-be
lies more to be found
a fight for passion, probity
and desire for pursuit
it’s daunting, in many ways
the journey in becoming
a glimpse of a good man
but take heart, stay the course
and do not forget the boy in you
for he desires nothing more
than to love completely
than to love wonderfully
…
so with that, i say
