A Gathering

On my way to meet someone,
I’ve never seen before
I don’t know who they are,
but they’re waiting just for me

I must make ready
For if by chance,
or, design,
I’ll deliver what they need

A helping hand
and kindly smile
If it seems okay,
a warm and loving hug

When we part,
we both will know,
our gathering was,
truly meant to be….
