A man
Walked through the streets
Downtown
Healing people today
Not of their illness
But of their greed
He showed them all kindness
Let them live
When death would have been so easy
Each one knew
As they drew
What would have been their last breath
That they
Had sinned
Their worst sin
Greed
Not just hoarding money
But also
Hoarding love

Each
Could have given more
Each
Could have taken more
All were destitute now
After he passed
A vacuum created inside
An emptiness so deep
Their only option
To give
And receive
From the complete stranger
Next to them
To start to fill
The void
And hope to obtain redemption
