At this critical time of extinction, please remember who we are

I am biodiversity, I am life. Christyl Rivers

We are living organisms,

Rainbow dewdrops, glittering prisms

Fragrant forests, fluttered leaves

Obese berries, thick as thieves

Tomfoolery, tumbling, tiger tots

Voluptuous vines, hung in knots

Shoots, saplings, seedlings, and shrubs

Critters, by litters, fox, and wolf cubs

We once were myriad, we once were many
We’re people too! We are plenty,
We clamor, or crawl, or creep,
We swim, or soar, or sneak, or sweep

We wriggle, or writhe, or worm,
We squiggle, scramble, or squirm,
We plod, or clump, or clamor, or stomp,
In sod, or stump, or Manor, or swamp

We have been called the biosphere
All need for us is crystal clear
We beings live that ALL may live
Is defense of LIFE too much to give?
