Age is a bird

Age is
a bird free as
a fish evading
a zealous anglers hook
instinctively cast
into foaming waters
and currents so strong
that the waters churn
lifting its riches
to the surface
where birds as
free as fish feast
before flying away
relieved that they
have sustenance to
last another great
crossing.
