An apology, a promise and a slice of care.

Amid the ups and downs of life, tired when I turn
I want you to be there.

Moving towards the ambitions set for myself, when I stagger
I want you to hold me.

Stammering in my own thoughts, when I disappear
I want you to search me.

Smiling my broadest smile, when I fade in agony
I want you to drag me to YOU.

Turning to my hermit mode, when I walk away from the luxuries of life
I want you to tug me to reality.

And whilst this will be my outlook for ‘us’
Your’s will be equally if not more significant.

Your eyes will be read, as will be your silence.
Your words will be interpreted, and intention will be grasped.

Everything that will come out of your mouth, won’t be treated a petition for war of thoughts.
You won’t be compelled to think twice before speaking.

And, amidst all this.
Silent promises will prevail.
A promise to be there, if a problem engulfs you.
A vow to be at bay, just in case, it is required.
A word to smile, coz it is always good to see you.
An assurance of talking even at 4 am, coz I’d never want you to seek solace elsewhere.

But, most importantly, an oath, a bond, to be there, even if silent, coz your presence is everything, I could’ve ever asked The Universe!!
