Blue Heart

You defend your imperfections with a past you never share
You seek love with a heart you tainted blurred
You judge yourself perfect but for everything else you can blame others steered
You believe everything you are is ‘self made’ but for everything love made you bear
How do you seek love so deep but give love so shallow
How come love left you, just when she made you mellow
Does your pain ever question you, why always you?
… a poem to the girl who never held on to love; blaming love but herself for all her pain
