BREAKING ICE
I want to be loved like it were my last day, Unashamed and unabashed passion.
I want to feel its flow quicken my pulse,
Setting me, and her free from all the boundaries.
Boundaries which until now kept us apart.
Daunting and viciously set by society,
Bringing us closer under its judgemental eyes,
Lurking and waiting in the dark for us to show our love,
Not letting us break the ice.
What if I were to tell that today is the last day for us to embrace?
Would we still care about how we looked in their eyes?
The poison of their thoughts keep our lips from meeting,
Their warmth which can keep both our hearts from freezing.
We stand inches apart, filled with longing and desire,
And to be loved,
We need to set aside the world,
And just break the ice..
