Breaking Through the Surface

I’m safe and alone
I have myself with me
I was lost for a while
But I’m here again

There are lulls in learning
And parts of me were underwater
But now they break the surface
I wonder how they hold their breath

Passing moments I am wasting
Is there more to be expelled?
The truth won’t go away
It knows when to stay or seek

I can find an opening
Hidden but still there
Passing moments I am wasting
When I’m caught in a learning lull.
