She Left Together With the Shooting Stars She Wished Upon

She used to be a bright girl
With high hopes and even bigger dreams
Grasping to grasp the whole world
Thoughts filled brighter than eyes would ever see

She used to be a bright girl
She sometimes still shakes some of that spark
But it feels more an accidental shiver
Rather than spirits of her heart

She used to be a bright girl
Until she got burned by life its light
The fire inside fading as her eyes closed
Shutting off her heart to all that was outside

She used to be a bright girl
She always tried ignoring all life’s wrongs
Unknowing no light can exist without a darkness
Preferring to hide rather than growing strong

She used to be a bright girl
Now all of her is gone
As are the shooting stars
She used to wish upon.
