catalyst

Sweet, courageous soul,

You couldn’t know, at the outset, of the beauty she would shape for you. You had only her emphatic nods, robust words and a few promises.

It’s a long road from out of the mouth to made manifest. You quietly waited.

Sweet, courageous soul,

You bypassed many others, who were hungry, eager for a better break, and chose the broken hearted tatterdemalion, who worked in her mind
divine equations that yielded no solutions.

Sweet, courageous soul,

You presented an opportunity. You offered a way beyond the impasse, Then quietly waited.

You catalyzed the lifting of her eyes from their paralyzed gaze on the floor to the horizon. The sun is rising.

You gave a precious gift: a chance………then waited.

She loves you quietly for that,
Sweet, courageous soul.
