Across the street where I reside,
The neons signify people inside.

I glance out the window,
feeling the sadness and depression,
they drink more to veil.

The liquids that fill their every day,
Bring sirens now, emergency lights in play.

Could it have been avoided?
The blank stare of the elderly man.
Blood cascading down his face.
Helplessly he left his trace.
With his clumsy fall at the place.

Drunk or not,
He will be back tomorrow,
With today forgot.
