Collective consciousness

The sun looks sleepy
As I skip along the pathway.
Trees sway,
Leaves rustle
A golden glow fills my head
Leaving little room for much else
The twinkling on the water’s surface
Makes me feel
Like all the gold,
Glitter
And riches of nature
Are mine.
Mine, just for this moment.
The breeze
Begs to carry my troubles
Off into another dimension.
They catch the breeze
And wing it in compliance.
This moment —
Perfection!
Across the lake
The eyes of another meet mine
And we both smile, shyly
And leave with a giggle
As we recognise in each other’s eyes
That we shared the same moment,
The moment of perfection,
Believing all the while
That it was ours
And ours alone.
