Commuting Cloud

I saw a cloud caught in the fence this morning:

squeezed between two rails and tangled around the lower,

between the wet grass and the metal.

There in the median of the interstate, air rushed by,

tugging at its sides, stretching it painfully at its caught middle.

It pulled and it stayed, and my car passed on the right,

and I did not see it again.
